IV Congress on the Republic and Republicanism

October 11-12, 2018 - Our Portuguese Research Team presented communications related to Portuguese republican thought on Serbia and Yugoslavia at the Library of the National Press.



Small Powers, International Dynamics and International Politics - Portugal and Serbia (1878-1926/1929) Roundtable (Serbia)

October 24, 2018 - A contingent of our Portuguese Research Team travelled to Serbia to participate in the Roundtable held in the Faculty of Philosphy of the University of Belgrade. There, they presented their research on the Portuguese and Yugoslav responses to the Briand Memorandum and on Portuguese/Serbian commercial relations at the dawn of the XXth century.



I Meeting of Young Researchers of Contemporary History

November 7, 2018 - Our Serbian and Portuguese Research Teams gathered at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of NOVA University of Lisbon to attend and present their findings at the Meeting, organized by the NOVA Institute for Contemporatry History. Their communications focused on Portuguese/Serbian relations from the end of the XIXth century to the Post-World War I period.



Small Powers International Dynamics and International Politics - Portugal and Serbia (1878-1926/1929) Roundtable (Portugal)

November 7, 2018 - A contingent of our Portuguese Research Team and a part of our Serbian Research Team met at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon to discuss Portuguese and Serbian foreign policy decisions from the late XIXth century to the first years of the tweentieth century. The talks focused on how each small power perceived the other in the European context.
